About Harris Nursery

In Tyler, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Harris Nursery at (903) 593-8646; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is harrisnursery.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 186 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded plant nurseries in Tyler.
Tyler is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Tyler is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place is a great alternative to Home Depot or Lowe’s, especially Lowe’s in Lindale since their plants and trees they carry seem to have gone down greatly in variety recently for some reason. I found an inexpensive 2 gallon size yaupon holly tree here and those are some of the hardest things to find in all of north Texas. Nice place.

As a landscaper in East Texas, this is my new go-to nursery! Excellent plant selection and quality. Staff is knowledgeable and very polite. As the official "Lawn Lady" in East Texas, I'd recommend them to everyone!

We love this place. So in the picture the six middle yellow rose plants and the two hanging plants plus the mulch is what we got from there. We also got top soil which is under the weed barrier fabric which is under the mulch. The top soil was great quality and better quality than other places and under $3 a bag. The rose plants were $19.99 and were knockout roses. The hanging plants were $29.99 and has various types of flowers in it. They all have very good color and some have new buds ready to bloom as well. Excellent quality plants and soil as well as great customer service. We took the flowers out of the store but they loaded up all the soil and mulch on a carrier and loaded it into my truck. We did all the flower bed work ourselves. (Not sure if they offer that or not.) The workers were very knowledgeable of what they have and the quality as well as how to take care of plants. They are very helpful getting the things you need and just all around very nice people. We will be getting all of our plant products here from now on. Thanks for great prices and friendly and welcoming atmosphere!!! We will be back. Highly recommend going here. Thanks!!!! (In the picture I haven’t cut th
